Jamie has been dancing since he could walk. He began performing on his own among the street musicians in South Beach at age 2, where tourists nicknamed him “The Dancing Boy”! By age 7, he was on stage as “Fritz” in The Nutcracker at the Westport Playhouse and at age 9, he was invited to perform with Alvin Ailey at the Apollo Theater. By then he had caught the acting and singing bug as well and began landing starring roles in Community Theater. He got his first off-Broadway credit performing in Ever Happily After at the New York Musical Theatre Festival and also sang at the NYMF Gala at the Edison Ballroom. He trains at the School of American Ballet and has performed with New York City Ballet in The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, and Harlequinade. Last December, Jamie realized his dream of playing Billy in Billy Elliot, The Musical at the Maltz Theatre in Jupiter, Florida. He is currently playing Billy at the Company Theatre in Norwell, Massachusetts. Stay tuned to find out if he may be pirouetting into a town near you soon!
